This contributes to my role as the Fieldwork Coordinator for Pacific Oaks College in Los Angeles. I find joy in working with students and placing them with various local nonprofits locally and globally. I’m blessed to have a fascinating career path and the ability to work with so many different communities of people and needs. Along with my passion for serving a local community, I also have a love for volunteering in other countries such as Dominican Republic, Belize, India, Israel and Mexico. Volunteerism and community engagement has always been a constant staple in my life. I spend the majority of my time working in communities in LA county, such as Watts, South Central, Compton and Hawthorne with youth mentorship programs as part of my community impact mission. I moved to Los Angeles 11 years ago and I proudly call LA home, but the funny thing is, no matter where I land in the world, I feel as though I am home. My family hosted others from around the world, primarily people from Japan and Israel. I grew up in a very accepting home, where the doors in my home were always open. And what better way to bring joy and light to the world by partnering with nonprofits that have the same intentions as I.
